Ivan & Eli - Having Fun at the Park!

I had a good time taking pictures of Ivan & Eli at the park.  Eli was really tired and so it took a little bit for the boys to get into the pictures (understandably) but once they discovered how much fun it was to throw leaves and pinecones at the camera man we got some great smiles and candid moments!   Thanks Karen & Nelson for giving me the opportunity to photograph your grandsons!

We saw this little girl in the library at Peace Lutheran Church a couple of weeks ago.  She looked so grown up, sitting there reading her Toddler Bible.  And we loved her curly, red hair!  She was to cute not to photograph.

Emma - full of Grace and beauty

I was telling Jenn tonight that Emma is going to have a HUGE album of pictures when she grows up because I can't stop taking pictures of her.  She is just such a doll and I am enjoying watching her grow up.  I'm sure this won't be our last post of Emma....

Photo(s) of the Week - Flying a Kite

Kite flying is one of the best things to do on a warm, breezy, spring afternoon.  The boys got a special kite called a parafoil from Grandpa and Grandma and couldn't wait to try it out.  We walked over to the fairgrounds where there was plenty of wide open space and Grandpa, Caleb, and Elijah got their kite soaring high in the sunny, blue sky.  When the boys got tired of holding the kite-string they ran, chasing the kite tails. 

Peace Lutheran Church - Staff pictures

Thanks to my good friend Jesse I was able to have the opportunity to take pictures for the staff of Peace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, WI and some candid shots as well.  I had a lot of fun and got to use my new Canon EX430 II flash which was a lot of fun.  Not to mention I was able to rent a couple of lenses too!  It was a good time!  The staff at PLC were great and I had a lot of fun doing my first staff photo shoot.

Photo(s) of the Week - Puddle Jumping

It seems that spring has come early to Wisconsin this year.  The warm weather has been making the snow disappear quite rapidly.  Of course, all the melting snow brings big mud puddles.  And big puddles always attract little boys.  Caleb and Elijah celebrated the day by finding the biggest puddles to splash in. By the time the afternoon was over the boys had gone through multiple pairs of pants and Elijah was on his second pair of boots.  Naturally, Matt was on hand with the camera to capture the moment...and it looks like I'll have a couple more loads of laundry to do.

I just rented a lense for this week and am still drooling over it.  It's the Canon 70-200mm F2.8 IS II and it is a lot of fun to shoot with.  I rented it to take some pictures at Peace Lutheran Church which we'll be posting soon.  Here are a couple of pictures Jenn took of me with this awesome lense.
